GriefShare
GriefShare is a place for those who have been down the bitter road of grief. We understand what one goes through. The ups and downs of emotions, the fears of not being able to function normally again. “Will I be normal again?” “What is normal for me now?”
Those who attend share what they have learned as they meet each new day. The videos and workbook provides helpful tools of ways to work through the grieving process. It also reminds us of God’s presence and love.
A story is told of the great redwoods’ survival. They grow in groves where their roots are intertwined to make them sturdy and strong. One tree alone would not survive. That’s kind of how GriefShare works. We embrace one another while learning to live a new life.
If you, or someone you know, is going through this process, please join us beginning on Tuesday, March 4 at 1:30 pm or 6:30 pm at the First United Presbyterian Church of Henry.
Please register online or contact the office for contact information.
Snackpac Assembly Volunteers Needed
It's hard to learn when you are hungry! The Snackpac program provides a free, nutritional sack lunch each weekend to qualifying students of the IVC school district who are eligible to receive free lunches. This extends the opportunity for children to receive the nutritional building blocks to thrive in school.
If interested in helping assemble Snackpacs, mark your calendars for these dates linked here at 11 am. Snackpac assembly takes place at First United Methodist Church in Chillicothe.
