Meet Our Staff

Ryan Phelps, Senior Pastor

Ryan is the new kid on the block at CCC joining the staff in 2023. He is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity degree from Lincoln Christian Seminary. Before that he received a B.S. in Education from Indiana State University in 2003. Ryan is happily married to his wife Crystal, who is a high school math teacher. They were married in 2005 and have three kids; Brenna, Braeden, and Brylyn.

Before serving at CCC, Ryan served churches in Connersville, Indiana, Evansville, Indiana, and Covington, Indiana. He has 11 years experience in Student Ministry and is now in his second ministry as a Lead Pastor.

Ryan enjoys cycling, being outdoors, and playing guitar when he is not thinking and engaged in ministry where he has a passion to see people grow in their faith, become fully-committed disciples of Christ, and to disciple others. He is excited to reach and love the community of Chillicothe and to be a servant to those at CCC.

Andrea Mercier, Associate Minister of Connections

Andrea is a 2006 graduate of Trinity Christian College and later received her Masters of Divinity in 2011 from Northern Seminary. She is married to her handsome husband, Michael, and they have one son, Gabriel. Andrea joined us in 2017 as our Family Ministry Director and transitioned to her current role in 2022 where she oversees our Connection and Small Group ministries.

Andrea has a heart for connecting people to Jesus, each other, and our community. She loves Jesus, (real) peanut butter, spending time with her boys, and laughing.

Emily Richards, Director of Children’s Ministries

Emily graduated from Bradley University in 2009 with degrees in International Studies and Spanish. In 2011, she received her Master’s of Arts from Bradley in Leadership in Human Service Administration. She is grateful for the experiences she’s had working and volunteering in the missions, education, and nonprofits fields.

She and her husband, Travis, have two children, Reed and Will. Together they enjoy being outside, playing games, and exploring, all of which are better with ice cream.

Beginning in 2024, Emily serves CCC as the part-time Director of Children’s Ministries. One of her main focuses is supporting the partnership between families and the church in order to lead the next generation to love God and others.
